About

Hooray for Hollywood…

If you love old movies, you’re in for the time of your life as Michael Roberts (who played ten parts in Epsom Downs at the Playhouse in 2012) takes you on a misguided tour through darkest Hollywood. He will recreate favourite moments from classic movies such as Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, Some Like It Hot and Spartacus, as well as a few lowlights from movies so bad they’re good.

From Mae West to Woody Allen, Groucho Marx to Bette Davis, you’ll shake with laugher, rattle in terror and roll in the aisles as you travel along the highways and byways of Hollywood’s golden century of fun.

For this production the Salberg Studio will be transformed into a 1930's nightclub, with unreserved cabaret-style seating around small tables. There will be the opportunity to have cocktails, other drinks and ice creams served at your table.
