Meeting once a week in a church hall, urged on by ex-chorus girl Mavis, an unlikely troupe of amateur tap dancers prepare for an end of term charity show. Behind the showbiz smiles, however, life continues in unexpected and not always welcome ways in this all-dancing comedy that has a spectacular surprise ending that will have you tapping your feet and cheering for more.

The cast includes Louise Plowright as Maxine (original cast member of Mamma Mia! and the Chichester Festival Productions of 42nd Street and Oklahoma), Rachel Stanley as Mavis (Crazy For You at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park & Novello Theatre; White Christmas; Chicago) and Kelly Price as Vera (Company at Sheffield Crucible and the Donmar Production of Guys and Dolls).

The cast also includes Marva Alexander, Adrian Grove, Alice Bailey Johnson, Amy Marston, Elizabeth Power, Claire Redcliffe and Rosie Thomson.

Stepping Out is directed by Adam Penford (Associate Director on the National Theatre’s smash-hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors), with choreography by Andrew Wright (choreographer for the current West End production of Singin' in the Rain and the recent tour of Wonderful Town with Connie Fisher) and designs by Matthew Wright (Tony nomination for Best Costume Design for La Cage Aux Folles).

Running Time: 2hrs 30mins (including one interval)
