Writer on Attachment
Salisbury Playhouse's Writer on Attachment, David Haworth is researching a new musical production that will tell the story of Salisbury during the war.
From late 1940 onwards production of Spitfire airplans took place secretly in several properties in the city.
Determined that his new work will be historically accurate, David is interested in talking to anyone who lived through the war years in Salisbury and remember what it was like to live in the city at that time.
Did you have anything to do with the secret Spitfire factories in Salisbury during World War Two? Or do you know anyone who did? Perhaps you simply remember living in Salisbury through the war?
If so we want to hear your stories!

This production will celebrate Salisbury, a resilient city. How it survived the war and the unsung heroes that helped the city through its darkest hour.
